ABOUT
I strive to provide comprehensive and cost-effective legal solutions to the best of my ability.
As a licensed California attorney, I have more than fifteen years' experience representing individuals and businesses in a variety of legal matters in and out of state and federal court as well as binding arbitration.

My primary areas of practice are business and real estate litigation, including representation of commercial and residential real estate clients and homeowners associations. I provide representation for claims involving breach of contract, negligence, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, enforcement of association governing documents, escrow disputes, disclosure issues, partnership disputes, construction defects, trespass, easements, and other matters affecting title to real property. I have also represented business clients on labor and employment law matters, including wage and hour claims, employment agreements, independent contractor status issues, and Labor Code violations.
I am a member of the State Bars of California and Washington, and I am a member of the Sacramento and Placer County Bar Associations. I am also a member of the Real Property, Employment, and Litigation Sections of the California State Bar. I am admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the United States District Court for the Central and Eastern Districts of California.
I obtained my undergraduate degree from the University of Washington (1999), magna cum laude, and my juris doctor degree from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University (2003), cum laude.

On a personal note, I learned what blue skies and sunshine were all about when I moved to California from Washington in 2004, and it was love at first sight. I prefer to be outdoors whenever possible exploring the beauty of California -- I am convinced there is not a better place to live, especially for an active lifestyle and love of nature. Beyond that, I am also a big fan of college football, and I love making pizza for friends and family. It's the dough.
